Help! I’m on the lookout for a literary agent with an interest on beautifully illustrated non-fiction for curious young minds. My DMs are open!

Have you heard of the project yet? No? Well, listen up!

DTRH (standing for Did This Really Happen!??!) is a project that exists to highlight everyday sexism in science through comics based on REAL testimonies

I am devastated and very angry about this. I will be taking some time away from the computer today, but I will share my thoughts later on. For now, for anybody interested in volcanic-derived carbon emissions, this is an easy-to-read place to start : https://t.co/oAOskG6heB https://t.co/TgQZOMQpw2

I am the only woman in a senior technical role in my extended team. There are women in managerial positions, but it seems that women aren't making it far enough up the purely technical/science path. Surprised? no. Motivated? You bet your ass

Day 18

Day 16

I apologise for the lack of fun fact about my work as a scientist today - It was a really busy day. Maybe that’s the fact, most scientists are overstretched (?)

Day 14

One of the "missing pieces" in our understanding of the development of the South Atlantic was how oceanic depth changed over time. Part of my PhD focused on developing a workflow to produce detailed paleobathymetric reconstructions from plate models

Day 10

...only to realise that a graduate job after my MSc "didn't feel right". Not without a lot of drama for various reasons, but eventually I was very lucky to secure a funded PhD and be able to do "what felt right" at that point, change directions
