The main character from a straight-up fantasy I've been planning! Mairwen gets "sacrificed" to a dragon, but the dragon just has her egg. She wants no sacrifices! Shenanigans ensue and the egg is entrusted to Mairwen to protect on her journey.

Straylight! The god of death's wife! Legends say she was once human that somehow became the god's wife. She soothes dying souls to prepare them for the afterlife and helps her husband cultivate the river of souls.

Straylight. The God of Death for humans! He lives within the straylight and cultivates his river of souls with his wife. When he personally doesn't see a reason to collect a soul himself, he sends a death hound instead. He's an asshole.

Vagabonds. Rosette's romantic partner & the crew's weapons expert. She joined when she and Rosette were sprung from jail by Reid & Dyne. She's tough, being Reid's go-to if he needs muscle, but she is also good natured & loves being a vagabond.

OCT 11 - Reid
Vagabonds! He is Rosette's twin brother and capt of their ship. And, the Dread Pirate Robin. He takes his role as legendary space pirate seriously, unlike his sister. He has a soft intellectual side too, but he doesn't like people knowing.

Space fantasy/Vagabonds! She is the capt of the ship (alongside her twin bro) and she happily takes the role of big sis to our main characters. A sharp shot w a sharp temper (don't mess w her or her crew), she wants to do good for the cosmos.

OCT 9 - Diar
Straylight! Frey's boyfriend & the reason the story happens at all. Like Frey, he's a halfling, but spent most of his childhood with the fair folk. Until his mom dumped him in the human realm. Then Leander took care of him! He tries to be suave.

From Straylight! He's the brawn of the group (& the only one with common sense). Like Clover, he's a fair folk, but he has a much steadier head on his shoulders. He's exiled from his home and does not like human trivialities like juice boxes.
