some truly tasteless people around the internet are summarizing the 1987 shojo OVA yami no purple eye as "an incomprehensible 30-minute long music video to the tune of 80s pop" as if it were *a bad* thing. disgraceful. couldn't be me!

i just have to say it... jun'ichi nakahara did not influence shojo's aesthetic while showing us pretty 1930s girls with braids for 90s daddy long legs to go and give their protagonist of the same era those ugly ass braids
