Today’s study is a lot more simple than last week’s, since I’m trying to do something really simple, no texture, no opacity, just focus on values and composition.
Original picture is Mt Saint Michel, Normandy, not that far from where I grew up. Need to go back there !
Timelapse video here, I changed my mind on the process at around 20mns in, and decided to block the shape while I first thought about doing something more organic. Total time was an hour as usual.
« Leave the hoonting of hoonters... to me ! »
Eileen the crow is probably my favourite npc in Bloodborne, and wears the coolest attire (and one of the coolest weapons). Couldn’t do a Bloodborne week without painting her.
Process video, it’s actually quite messy since I couldn’t decide myself about the background ! I hesitated to paint the Astral Clock behind her, but finally ended up with an abstract BG.
Real time is around 2 hours.
Process ! It was a bit more organised than yesterday but still very organic !
An American crocodile for this morning’s study. Never painted one before, and it was harder than I thought (there’s too much noise on some parts and not enough details on others).
1 hour on Procreate !
Process video here, I did not construct very much and took a very organic approach instead. Crunched my values a few times before finding what I wanted ! (Also there might be weird colors since as a colorblind person I cannot really distinguish green from red).
A fox for the first study of this week 🙂 ! I’ll do terrestrial animals this time.
1h15 on Procreate.
