2020 - final fantasy 7 remake/animal crossing new horizons/omori/persona 5 royal a real tossup between these 4, and that's not even mentioning xenoblade definitive
2021 - nier replicant ver 1.224 & it takes two nier was definitely the number 1 for me, but since it's a remaster+ i figured i should pick a game that released for the first time in 2021 too
