When the game ended, she sold her free will to an archfey at the promise of keeping him safe from the “shadow” (his patron) that escaped through her enchanted axe. Also to bring him a bento box of homemade rations, plus a sending stone so she can talk to him directly again.

I really just took the first NPC who was nice to Cat after she gained her freedom and let her claim him as her favourite friend
