Last night I had fun painting some art for Jemlington's #dtiys event. The world they've been creating is so full of warmth!

Been learning some character design in a class -- trying to convey personality via shape language and posing. #characterdesign

Naively applying it to my hand painted bust. (The bust doesn't have a normal map, so the specular isn't appearing in quite the right places, but whatever XD)

I decided to go for the left one, while trying to bring back some of the green. Chatted a bunch with friends and felt the silhouette was stronger for something that'd be in 3D. Still got lots of issues, but I like where it's going! #3dBustChallenge

Painted this up as a potential concept for the #3dBustChallenge hosted by @YBourykina. Feedback welcome! (I like the overall hair shape, but some of the strands break the flow too much, and I think I'd like more material variation to have interesting things to texture later.)
