On Saturday, we’re recording this months Abnormal Mapping on Mutazione! Send questions and thoughts about video games to abnormalmappingpodcast@gmail.com!
On Saturday we’re recording our final Abnormal Mapping of the year and doing a go fast 3D platformer blowout. Spark the Electric Jester 3 is our main game, but we’re also covering 2, Toree, and Lunistice! Send emails about these or any games to abnormalmappingpodcast@gmail.com!
Also, the art for this podcast is REALLY special. @boxofhamsters did the drawing and KILLED it, and Niamh did the text treatment and really brought it all together. I’m so excited to be beginning this show!!
This weekend we’re recording the next Abnormal Mapping on Ib, and also talking about Yume Nikki. RPG Maker horror classics both, we’d love questions about either or any other games stuff you might want to send in! abnormalmappingpodcast@gmail.com
1998: Brave Fencer Musashi
Square made an action adventure game with Kirby mechanics full of food puns, charmingly bad voice acting, and great music. Always baffled this game isn’t widely beloved
2014: Shovel Knight
I think this is my favorite of the faux retro games, an instant classic in its own right, and most of the extra campaigns that came out in the years after are also some of the best in the genre
2017: Hollow Knight
Gave this game GotY twice because I played it two years in a row and it was worth it both times. Incredible vibe, love the cute bugs, love to jump on a guy and stab him in the head Zelda 2 style.
