Added more white to the background as some sort of cohesive element, since the characters have a lot of pure white? I dunno if I like it.

Test with character added. I like having characters and backgrounds done in slightly different styles so the characters stand out, but it's hard to make it not look totally disjointed.

Another style test for Avenue A. The watercolor style I tried earlier looked too sloppy, this time I tried emulating interior design sketches done in marker.

I reeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaally like this, but now I gotta see how the characters look on top of it.

Did another style test to see if I could actually ink over the crazy loose pencils I was giving myself for the pages. Turns out... Yes I can!

Also, I like this setting for the lineart better than the last one.
