Controversial Sonic Hot Take:
Say what you will about 06's story, but it's characterisations, bleak tone and introspective themes fit way more with the core of Sonic The Hedgehog than any of the post-Unleashed/Black Knight games
(I'd also rather play 06 than most 2010 games)
@kianthequark @Lord_Slarr I'll do you one better:
You vs. the deconstruction/examination of the toxicity between a Doctor/Companion dynamic she tells you not to worry about.
I massively prefer the 1-CD Sprite when Sonic's idle because I think he should look more aggressive and with attitude. 3K's looks too chubby and happy-go-lucky. But I generally prefer 3K's sprite whenever it's in motion like running, as it does amplify that aggressive attitude. https://t.co/22BHGtY7uj
Problem with Riddler as a central villain in comics is writers have to create clever puzzles for Batman to solve without looking like a dumbass, when he's established as a detective, and that's a hard task to do. The Batman (2022) achieved the impossible and had clever riddles.
Y'know... I do like the Joker so here's my 4 favourite versions of him:
TellTale
DCAU (BTAS, STAS, Justice League)
Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker (this is a different version from the DCAU one, so this counts)
Arkham Game Series
@Praxeus_stan Tbh, it was an incredible close race between choosing the McCoy and Pertwee era, I could change my stance anyday
The Last Resort Creatures of Beauty
🤝
Similar to each other in non-linear structure and being bleak, but are excellent in experimentation and in talking about The Doctor's accidental interference in a negative light.
Ratiod by phenomenal Sonic OST's that don't have Crush 40 anywhere. https://t.co/RMVRvhPVR7
Deathstroke/Slade from Teen Titans was the greatest take on the character, despite being vastly different to the comics. A master manipulator, mysterious and knew when to really brutalise the Titans, physically and mentally whilst being expertly played by Ron Pearlman. Glorious.
