Happy Halloween, folks! 🎃🎃🎃
To celebrate, here's a tiny terrifying tease of my piece in the RATCHET & CLANK FANZINE 2022, out very soon!
(a rare occasion where I wrote, drew, coloured and lettered the thing)
THE BROTHER OF ALL MEN #2 - out next week! Death, decay and double-crossing abound in this issue as the Aquarian Foundation's tendrils tighten, and Guy falls further down the rabbit hole...
From yours truly, @ZacBeThompson @markenglert @HassanOE, published by @AfterShockComix
@spacemacchiato The Kordey-drawn stuff (around the time it was retitled 'Soldier X') dips into that a bit more
Film #4 of 2022 - THE CHRONICLES OF RIDDICK: DARK FURY [2004]
I hope whoever thought to get Peter Chung and Rob Valley on a Riddick straight-to-video animation got a fucking promotion, cos this shit rocks. Further proof the series is just dying for some comic book action.
Film #98 of 2021 - THE FLIGHT OF DRAGONS [1982]
I didn't grow up with Rankin/Bass so this comes off as pretty stuffy and stilted to me, but curious from a historical standpoint. James Earl Jones spins a memorable performance though, and it's nice to see animated dark fantasy.
I've had this in my head for a fucking week, so permit me this one shitpost on the first day of Spooktober
Film #54 of 2021 - THE MITCHELLS VS THE MACHINES [2021]
A bit hampered by a finale stretched thin, lacklustre performances (Andre's not-Bezos and Katie's brother) and some cringey humor. But looks fantastic and exciting to see Sony Imageworks continue to push the boundaries.
Film #51 of 2021 - SONG OF THE SEA [2014]
Hadn't seen this since its theatrical debut (7yrs ago in @LightHouseD7, christ). Probably not the best film to watch when you've been away from Ireland for the longest period in your life and missing the small things!
