Here’s a dandelion I drew recently. (Hello new followers! Good to have you :)) https://t.co/2KrJRfhMcz
Fungi have all sorts of supernatural associations, from emerging souls of the dead and signs of the devil, to forest spirit umbrellas and faerie rings. I drew this fae a while back, but he’s a favourite #FolkloreThursday
The scariest monsters MUST be vampire pumpkins of Balkan lore! The fruit begin to shake and make a ‘Brrl! Brrrl!’ noise, and go about houses at night with ill intent— but they can’t do much harm, so aren’t as feared as other vampires. I had to draw them, obvs #FolkloreThursday
A Hob Lantern for this week’s #fairy theme #FolkloreThursday — widespread light-bearing fae that lure the unwary traveller from their path through the marsh. Such bog dwellers have many names, including Nimble men (Scot.), Hinky-punk (Westcountry) and of course will-‘o-the-wisp.
