While musing over the beginning of one of my MC's high school life, I suddenly have the image of a young woman with pink-bowed pigtails riding a giant death wheel with guns. Cockpit is filled with fuzzy key chains. What is my muse coming to? Oh wait... #amwriting #writerslife

And that's a big deal to me, because the area of STEM is such a big field with a lot of cool, interesting stuff happening. We should feel encouraged to explore this regardless of gender, and role-models help in that in such a big way. #writerslife

@RaeLoverde My scientist with a primal scienist likes her snazzy lab coats, but also enjoys some casual clothes with a regular jeans and shirt. Still, when treking in the wilderness, she'll wear survival clothing with padded leather.

Part of me is now tempted to commission @CSarracenian to do a meeting-of-the-minds with Jenosa Arma and her version of Samus. The two of them seem polar opposites in personalities.
