To be honest drawing Digimon or Pokemon is a really good practice for your art improvement. You'll be drawing stuff you basically wont draw normally such as feathers, slime, metallic reflection, rock textures, balanced color scheme and even dynamic poses.

I made these weird ass creepy images before closing down my facebook page lol.
