I know it's in all likelihood total coincidence, but Felicia's Mega Man cosplay in Pocket Fighter gives me serious Cat Ninden Teyandee/Samurai Pizza Cats vibes.

@JesuszillaS wanted me to help him dig into how exactly Capcom fighters determine the distance threshold between close and far normals, so have this image of Felicia trying unsuccessfully to high kick a very fat Demitri. #Darkstalkers

In a rather amusing coincidence, in turns out that the same Capcom fighting game artist (Norihide Fujii) animated the sprites of two different "Birdie"s:
