her mother Camellia is the matriarch of the village and has close ties to King Elouan (which helped in getting her daughter into the palace)

some more fun facts but saoirse also has a little sister named aoife who took a fancy to more prestige lifestyles when younger (aka marrying into nobility like her sister did)

she isn't as much of a country girl as saoirse.. her least favorite chore is looking after chickens
