I wanted a more grounded approach to the “knight meets spaceman” premise. So I came up with a history wherein space travel is commonplace and colonies develop their own cultures. Some however were said to have died in wars but they rebuilt despite losing contact.
I wanted to keep Jacob in One out ot Infinity, so I created Nate, who was essentially part of a blank slate for a new story which has a similar premise to the illustration series, but this time with different circumstances leading up to it.
Jacob brooks was originally a character for a now cancelled project called One out of Infinity, whom I imported into the illustration series to test an idea about someone from the distant future getting stranded in the distant past (i.e, knight meets starship pilot)

These are some pieces that worked as an alpha test for my current projects. They were part of an illustration series which held their own story, but formed a larger narrative when put together. I had other projects which never took off, but this deemed fitting at the time
