With #COP27 as a backdrop, this is a reminder of the types of voices we should be listening closely to. From climate activists, to environmental defenders, to solution providers – these people are an example of the many others who give us hope that we can change climate change.
However, it is also to highlight the fact that climate activists and environmental defenders around the world are oppressed, detained, poisoned, imprisoned, attacked and killed. There can’t be climate justice without open civic space. h/t @Global_Witness https://t.co/2n45q7xH94
Our diverse selection of brave, passionate and brilliant people is to serve as an example of the thousands others like them, and to illustrate our common potential – and hope – that we can change climate change.
