SOPHIE TAKES TO THE SKY is inspired by intrepid aviator Sophie Blanchard, the first woman to work as a professional balloonist. It's also a story about overcoming fears, with lots of incredibly beautiful artwork from @BrionyMaySmith #IWD2022
Her work included over 30 portraits of Marie Antoinette. She’s attracted a fair bit of criticism over the years, but today she’s recognised as one of France’s most important painters @BarringtonStoke @rebecca_cobb .
And a very happy book birthday to all these lovely books which are also out today - there are lots more brilliant ones too!
It’s #WorldDanceDay today, so the perfect moment to share my @bookshop_org_UK booklist of ballet-inspired children’s books - including A Dancer’s Dream: https://t.co/gShFyZEwzT

They may be stuck at home at the moment, but these are three great books to inspire bold and dauntless young adventurers @FleurHitchcock @michellepaver @kmlarwood
I have arrived at my destination - but where is it? Detectives, here are some clues for you... stay tuned tomorrow to find out @EgmontUK #TaylorAndRose
