#TBT back when I made big drawings in pen and ink 😅

Picked up my watercolors again, did a bunch of mindless studies in an attempt to relax and unwind a bit (with mixed results in that department 🤪).

Lovely Beuville book in the mail this week.

Well, I just couldn't help myself and re-scanned the painting after giving it a coat of varnish. Turns out the uneven glossiness was screwing the values more than I thought. Also: a couple of details for those of you into that sorta thing.

A more ambitious egg tempera experiment: a small Elric. Still trying to get my bearings with the medium, at times I feel a bit like a neanderthal mixing colored powders with egg and painting with it 🤪
