in his first confrontation with the strawhats, franky refers to himself as a cyborg.
cyborg actually stands for cybernetic organism (which i didn't know until very recently and it kinda blew my mind). it describes "a being with both organic and biomechatronic body parts".

his arms and hands look abnormally large, he has a metallic nose and three chins. i also noticed that franky used to have eyebrows but no longer does. those things reflect franky distancing himself from his identity as a human, and making himself larger.
