okay I can't get over the fact that for Genshin's *very first* anniversary, they decided they were going to feature Beikazu (the lovers) doing a matching gesture next to each other in their cozy little speech bubble for that anniversary web event

genshin impact’s very first anniversary had a web event: “the unforgettable journey”, which featured every playable character in some context unique to them. in this web event, HYV chose to feature kazuha and beidou together, both giving matching thumbs-ups next to each other.

just as tomo was spiritually “by [kazuha’s] side” while kazuha was facing the shogun, beidou was by kazuha’s side when they returned to inazuma and fought alongside the resistance.

both inspire kazuha to “brave the lightning’s glow.”
