I sent out tester sets to a few folks and the leaner, reworked brushes for Clip are done. There'll be heaps new, too. About 630 total.

I'm making art to promote the coming update and using the opportunity to learn paperdoll animation in Fusion. Node based workflows are weird!

I've been messing with OBS. Trying to psyche my hermit-ass up to stream. I got to making some channel art and then emotes popped out. Jumping the gun a bit. 👀

That rope brush led me to a new inker I'm dubbing ACTION FRANK. The caps are important.

My quick and dirty process boils down to:

1. A sheet of silhouettes.
2. A value (greyscale) painting of the best few.
3. A layer with the blend mode set to "color" over the value.

The best advice I’ve gotten on character design was to start with silhouettes and use a brush bigger than you feel comfortable with. The big, unwieldy tool helps keep you loose, doesn’t allow you to obsess over small details, and ensures your silhouettes read at distance.

Making some brushes and I think this self portrait turned out a little too honest. 😆
