I’ll be playing some Tiny Dungeon on the @KoboldDefenders Twitch channel tonight.

It’s a super minimal, rules-light rpg. You can make characters in about five minutes. Great for one shots—or just even introducing new players to ttrpgs.

Me? I’ll be Branch DuBois, the treefolk.

Couch noodling.

I’ve gotten about 60/100 portraits done for a system agnostic rpg accessory book I’m working on.

Sequestering myself to my office for the foreseeable future will just make that progress faster, I guess.

The only notes Nickelodeon ever gave me were to go further off model and make it more me.

Which I was *not* doing—on purpose. Working with extant characters almost never means you get to do that. Talk about a fun gig.

Preeeetty fun color palette study. I can see this being a workhorse palette for monsters.

In Clip Studio, I just loaded the palette image in Sub View, color picked from it, and used a single brush for all of it. One layer for pencils, one for paints.

Piss simple workflow. I like keeping things honest and clean and repeatable.

I used a gamut mask to determine a complimentary palette for this owl/heart illustration.

Get the base colors, make two light and two dark value variants of them, and then color pick only from it. It makes using broken color easier—you know choices won’t clash.

If you ask me to picture something in my mind’s eye, it probably is the mutated form of the thing in secondary colors. That’s just how this brain does it. 👀 https://t.co/6k1T1HBndc
