I’m tired of people saying “sonic is sonic” like every single iteration of him is the same and the differences don’t matter. These are different and that is a fact.

Here is what I think about the sonic model stuff: We've had same look going on since Shadow in 2005, except for 06. Before 06, the design would change pretty much every game to match the art style. I would like to see some variation now.
