Yesterday was the first day of @NIAFF_animation, a new international animation film festival taking place in Niigata! It has a very prestigious lineup, with none other than director Mamoru Oshii being head of the festival's jury during this first edition.
We had our first screening at @annecyfestival this morning!
David Production and Shin'ya Kawatsura's Misaki no Mayoiga was a really fun slice-of-life/fantasy film, with amazing contributions by animation legends such as Bahi JD, Shin'ya Ohira and his studio Break 🔥🔥
Have you ever read our translation of this interview with Hideaki ANNO?🤔
It was for the 10th anniversary of Studio Khara🥳

•Another one of his works that gathered a lot of attention was the first Opening of Soul Eater, which he directed, storyboarded, and animated all by himself.
•Working on G Gundam was a turning point in his career as he joined Sunrise Studio 2 after having worked on the show as a Nakamura Pro subcontractor. It's a work very dear to him, so much that he references it in Healer Girl as he said.

Asuka has always been a gamer girl, as she was playing on SEGA Saturn at Hikari’s house in #Evangelion
This time, she plays Gunpey on Wonderswan, Bandai’s competitor to the Gameboy. Bandai and SEGA both were part of Neon Genesis Evangelion’s production committee
In continuation to our hommage to late M. Otsuka, one more tribute of ours by @ptsh_7z
