Prince Rathal is either a hearthrob or a blundering idiot depending on who you talk to. essentially kicked out of the royal palace for embarrassing his father at a royal gala, so he's finding any way he can to make a quick buck and is getting adjusted to commoner life

Carl is a bard who has experience with many different instruments, and overall is a rather dramatic person who lives for gossip. He has grown rather tired of having no inspiration for songs or stories, and finding lucy unconscious ropes them into something real song-worthy.

Lucy is a bit of a walking enigma as she's the first Valken anyone has ever seen in thousands of years, so her people have fallen into obscurity amongst the mortals. Lucy has a brick where her brain is and is overall better at problem solving with her giant sword than her brain
