A sugar zombie, a secretary bird, and one of those little buttermint things~

Some art was lost in a previous exchange that I did small watercolors for. The good thing about sending these film prints is they're replaceable should a card get lost or damaged.

The shading, highlighting, and back lighting layers are all separate in the template. This lets me individually adjust the colors for each layer within each color group. I did a 4th layer of manual adjustment with a soft brush to touch up any areas that I wasn't happy with.

I made 6 templates out of the 12 total for this batch. I have more sketched, but I prioritized the templates for characters for the greeting card exchange first.

I made templates for all of these - 2 for each species male and female. 6 templates done, 6 more to go.

A lot of them had fairly extensive custom features. Even though they were on templates, almost all of them had to be edited to some degree.

I can start sharing these! These are gift art for a greeting card exchange. They were all printed on an Instax SP-3 printer and mailed. I'll post a photo of the prints when everyone gets their cards.🙈

Color/layout/value planning for another wine bottle label to be given out as a wedding favor. The empty spaces on this are reserved for lettering later. This will get turned into a watercolor!
