and it wasnt just me being uncomfortable going from painting to anime, i had drawn many very anime pieces before that looked way better than anything i was able to produce in the comic for YEARS

this is my favorite early concept image because you can see me trying to turn the drawing i did normally (over-rendered guy in the middle) into a comics-ready style and failing
