2020 throwback (3/?)
This year I made a full scale comic with 8 pages featuring the Atlantic cyclonas. Here the concept of the Essences (basically the 'spirit' of a storm) was introduced.
I must stress this is like a pilot and all of this can and will be subject to change.
@xel_artz Merry Christmas and thank you for the artshare!
I'm GrayLancer and I like to make personas out of historic tropical cyclones.

This year the personas for Typhoon Soudelor and Hurricane Dennis were revealed along with some slight redesign for Rita and Maria (which would continue throughout the rest of the year)
Reposting because the quality got butchered up.
Apparently, if the picture's in a tweet and gets saved as a draft, its quality goes to heck. https://t.co/5VoyZKOLQQ
Wanted to redraw Pam with the current color scheme and Rita sporting a new "hairstyle" (Seriously, she's one of the hardest to nail a proper design.)
Should've waited to remake their presentation cards but meh, need to focus on making some comics.
2020 throwback (1/?)
The first cyclonas revealed this year were from the South Pacific, a region where its storms are not known much in comparison their Atlantic and Pacific counterparts.
This were done with the pen brush for cell-shading and watercolor brush for the bg.
Somebody at DA pointed out some mistakes this had so here's the fixed version. https://t.co/f5eVwFq5FQ
Cyclonas based on historical hurricanes that formed in the Eastern Pacific. Retired names from this basin are very few and overlooked from their Atlantic counterparts but it was this basin that birthed the hurricane with the strongest winds measured on record.
WIP on the next group. These were sitting as sketches for months; now I hope to finish them soon.
Feels good to make art again.
Here are Eta's and Iota's cyclonas, the storms that showed November cannot be underestimated, especially Iota, the second Cat 5 in recorded history to form in Nov.
Also with them Laura with a slight redesign.
