This feels similar to the time I spent weeks on a big Spinosaurus illustration, and released it......only for the Spino eel-tail discovery to drop.

Paleontology is such a fast-moving field, you have to sprint to keep up!

Here are my sketches! The goal was to feature an animal from each chapter (so that the illustrations can double as chapter headings), and have them all 'fit together' in an interesting manner.
