To add on this, while they may not be objectively bad in the terms of generic artistic talent, I think people have the right to be critical of it in the terms of (for an example) anatomy consistency.

If Archie Sonic had depression from becoming king and whatnot (e.g., exclaiming how he craves action and adventure rather than slow-paced, rigid politics), I think this proves our point how it's not in character.
