On another front, the Barbatos commission is taking shape. I'm working on tweaking proportions as I go while I learn and adjust the process of the new rendering technique.
I took a bit of detour to complete a quick commission. The client saw my version of the SD Hi-Nu that I did a few years ago and wanted me make an SD Nu Gundam. The drawing will be a tattoo on his forearm. It's nice to revisit my old work and how far I've come since then.
Work in progress on the Barbatos commission. Still a lot to do but it's getting there. Swipe to see process from rough sketch to full rendering. More updates soon.
@USAGundamStore sticker pack 4 is coming soon. The special sticker is the Phenex in special holographic finish. Thank you, Joel @TrueGunpla for the impeccable printing quality and being the best hand model in the business.
Work in progress. This video describes the process of the new rendering technique that I'm exploring. This is all done in 2D on @Procreate, not 3D modeling. Color scheme is based on @Chris_Pabz build of the @USAGundamStore Apex model.
I'm comstanly exploring different rendering process. One that has eluded me for a bit was the 'no line art painting' style. After doing a lot of process research from the Japanese masters in the genre, I was able to come up with my own. Here's the WIP for the Barbatos commission.
Here's a follow up on my box resize post yesterday. I had a question about making the box into a display platform. I find that using neodymium magnets helps to secure the kit on to the box so that it doesn't accidentally tip over. Let me know if this method works for you!
