Huge thanks to @WomensHistNet for supporting my research with a small but important grant! I'll finally be able to have some archival material relating to Maria Cosway's printmaking digitised (after research trips were cancelled!)

Today, getting distracted by Bartolozzi's stipple (1778) of Georgiana, Duchess of Devonshire, drawn by her second cousin, Lady Diana Beauclerk. The plate was paid for by Beauclerk's brother, The Duke of Marlborough, and only 200 impressions were made. Image: © @YaleBritishArt
My final week @YaleBritishArt will be filled with many last minute trips to the Prints & Drawings Study Room, as well as a discussion focusing on the material I've seen over the past few months at the @Yale History of Art Department. Join us tomorrow, Tuesday 11 Dec, at 5.30pm!
I'm now able to say that I'll be heading to @YaleBritishArt later in Sept for 3 months, as an #AHRCIPS Fellow. I'll be examining their superb collection of prints by eighteenth-century women printmakers. Many thanks @ahrcpress (Image © @YaleBritishArt B1977.14.10254 by C. Watson)
Happy Birthday to Elisabetta Sirani, born #OnThisDay 380 years ago. Aside from painting, she was also a printmaker! #WomenPrintmakers (Etching © @britishmuseum, 1657)
Come to my lunchtime talk tomorrow on Reynolds, portraiture & the famous Montgomery sisters. 1pm, Room 1760!
