to start off on brand, here are some trees

Janek is a cook who'd never left home before when he set out to go travelling, and now just wants to get back to his friends and family. He’s practical and straightforward about romance, not yet understanding why this guy who obviously likes him is so hesitant to make a move.

Chepi is a half-human healer from a fae court family that he seems to have abandoned, with no place he really belongs. He’s hesitant and emotionally closed off, and you find more about why and what happened to him in flashbacks over the course of the comic.
