tbh i dreamt of being able to get low key anime style Chepi drawn by @penguinsbite whose portrait art i love SO much. I was really excited to be able to commission and they did this beautiful piece which has so much grace and movement

A theme of book 2 is Chepi getting to know Janek well enough to appreciate him as a whole complex person who’s also really hot, & @little_corvus captured that perfectly. I love the way he uses colour and he got the character so right while also showing another side… chefs kiss

absolute professional @shazleenmkhan drew this extremely good Chepi (perfect wistful sad look, immaculate vibes) but as a comics bro is also the founding member of the Janek fanclub so I also have this extremely good unofficial promo art on my wall

Kevin did this beautiful piece thinking a lot about plant symbolism, which was obviously my absolute fantasy, the actual dream - thank you plant thought leader influencer/ general superstar @kevinjaystanton
