initial sketch to mostly final rendering

I remembered why I wanted to stop using textured brushes...
I made a mess of the layers in the initial file and didn't want to deal with it so I just merged everything and painted on one layer 😤 why am I like this

some more messing around. I enjoyed painting this more than most things. oh and the outfit isn't like... reminiscent of something or anything...

Trying a different brush because I want to phase out the textured stuff as my main brushes. I think I'm getting close to what I want but it's not quite there yet. Might revisit this to try to figure out what I'm missing.
