Doffy joining Cross Guild would make them way too overpowered. So if he isn't joining them, this would be a great alternative.

I think if Oda makes Tesoro canon, it'll enormously benefit the story as he's an incredible character with similar theme & mindset as Doffy.

The possibility of Imu to be an immortal & an actual celestial being aligns with Cthulhu. Similar archenemy concept as in Ben 10 and also the conflict between the celestial beings & the natives, mostly the D clan along with the extinct races from Void Century.
