For the World inspo:
Ike's Home is inspired by his own Lore
Lvca = OMORI
Myst4 = P5
Shv = GRIS and his Layout
V0x = his Lore and some old horror RPG

We prepped a lot of visual tests. Thanks to the whole art team for sticking thru them even tho it felt overload somtimes T-T

I think in total, we had about 10 reference sheets made just for Ike depending on area/world style and in what state he was in (before and after memory) so the choices were more or less deliberate. this was also before tcb-mama dropped the sheets so we had to atleast prep some

On one hand, it's a small joke on qd modding themselves, on another it can also be seen as design for penmanship. Ultimately, it's a design made so the two will have each other as buddies and companions. The mod to the mischief. The Ink bottle/nib to the Quill.

we settled on 2 designs to put into the short and had what we called a "buddy system" bc Ike likes buddies and we just ran w/ that. We called it pen nib in team and it's heavily inspired by protagonists in GRIS and Journey and ultimately, is a partner for the quillfloofs
