Matt's Monster of the Month:

My monster of the month has to be Oozes. Any ooze that can seamlessly blend in with its surroundings makes for a great trap for low-level parties. Any wells or basins or fountains should be investigated carefully without touching!

Rust Monster. Using them can spice up any straightforward encounter. It's a 1/2 CR monster that can ruin a dungeon crawl by destroying the party's weapons and armor!
