Please tell me you see the similarities and I'm not going insane? the anime is from the 2000 but the manga is much older. I wonder if the author drew inspiration from Kyo and Iori.

Does anybody remember Yami no Matsuei? The main rivals are basically Kyo and Iori 😂
Tsuzuki is a Shinigami (a god of death) infamous for being lazy and a glutton and Muraki is a doctor who kills in hopes of drawing the attention of Tsuzuki bc he's obsessed with him.
