Day 30 - Neku
The emo king himself, that monologue during the intro is iconic and sets his character so well for the evolution he gets throughout all 3 weeks. This cynical introvert slowly learns that the world and the people can actually be kinda ok.

His parallels with Neku are weird and interesting. Both have their "influencer" crush being revealed and having to confront them, and both are fairly introverted, but we get to see more of Rindo's own hobbies, making him easier to understand from the get-go.

Day 29 - Rindo
Rindo as a protag wasn't a big hit from the start, he's just a normal kid that got put into a leader role, but it's more through his interactions and experience in the Game that we see more of him and his relationships.

I'm so glad that going into NEO Shiki was able to fulfill her dreams, and that we actually get to wear her brand in-game. Her 3 year wait for Neku makes me emotional because of the 14 year wait for payoff on our end, one more reason why I loved NEO's ending.

The emotional dependency that an amnesiac Neku develops, to the point of her becoming an entry fee, is also reflected on the player as a reason to keep going, even if that priority changes over time she is what we protect before it escalates to all of Shibuya

Day 28 - Shiki
Shiki is the driving force and actual motivation in the story to play the Reaper's Game, managing to get Neku to do stuff es he slowly opens up through murder attempts and stuff makes Shiki an absolute angel

Story-wise, Shoka represents the only "active" Shinjuku Reaper to actually adapt to Shibuya. I don't particularly like how that was explained during the Ayano quest, but her relationship with the rest is made more apparent later, the texts in W3D6 are lovely

Her most interesting aspect by far is how her entry fee and Beat's are connected, it's so subtle and unexpected that something like someone's dreams and extremely specific memories could be considered eligible for that

Day 25 - Beat
This absolute blockhead, I will admit I didn't like him much in my first playthrough, he's a nuissance until he becomes a partner. But he has so many moments in week 3, both comedy and feels, that are so memorable and unique to him.

He gets along with everyone so well and meets so many important people during the game that I would've never expected his character arc to be about being *too* nice without focusing on himself, hope he learns a lot from his inevitable gacha addiction
