and here's a fanart i did of her in both styles actually just so u can see!! and why i like the kizuna and the beginning version a ton... though the one on the left is more like her early vpets art actually cause they just don't draw her as cute as that anymore 😭

and i can tell for sure the turning point was this art of her for New Century. Like it's LITERALLY just the toei design in a different artstyle and yet it captures her feel so well and I think they know that too bc this art has been referenced so many times in other media too!!
