The winner of this month's sketch poll. Special thanks to all of my patrons for voting.
Slave Knight Gael is the final boss of the Souls series and a character steeped in history and lore. So naturally I go for the low hanging fruit.

I wanted to end on a somber note. Halply's core conflict still isn't resolved. Her faith was shaken by her confrontation with Yhorm, whose faith and complacency led to his destruction. But I still didn't know if the story would continue.
And for now, I'll leave it at that!
Not everything here works, but looking back, I'm surprised by how much actually kinda does.
I do really enjoy drawing action pages. They let me try unconventional layouts and make lots of expressive choices I normally would never be comfortable with.
Hey look! It's the first explicitly gay content I ever drew!
Seriously, I remember being so nervous about this. I thought the whole world was going to collapse on me. Turns out, there's actually quite a few queer ladies who play Dark Souls. Go figure.
This was the first real success I had with the comic. lord-tathamet on tumblr did a voice over for the dialogue I wrote for yhorm here, and to this day it is one of the single coolest things that's happened to me ever

The goal then changed from "I am going to do a short six page comic" to "I am going to do bite sized installments, and for each one the art will be slightly better than the last". I didn't worry about consistence or style. It was just about improving and putting it out there.
After the first chapter, I still wasn't sure I'd wind up making a second one. But it got around 100 notes on tumblr which was a lot for me at the time, and that was encouraging enough to add at least one more.
