while i really dig the story, the gameplay is well... ambitious but bad
each chapter has like two different original mechanics and they're all different kinds of bad
i won't say too much about it but it's probably worth having cheat engine on for a few lol...
i empathized and sympathized with all of these characters
it's a genuinely beautiful story with some of the highest production value i've ever seen in a furige
the gore makes sense for the kind of war it's trying to depict and many of the leading characters regret their actions
the final sequence of events is indescribably amazing and at the same time intentionally nihilistic to show how meaningless the struggle is
and you end up understanding the futility of revenge far more than most titles because you see how broken these characters are
you even control one of the antagonists who is very much a serial killer and his arc is unbelievably powerful
there's so many plot threads and different perspectives to a few scenes that you wonder how it'll resolve
and well, it resolves everything brutally because that's war
as the title suggests, the game is about a war that takes place for just a week
you follow four different point of views on what looks like a typical war between two fantasy kingdoms but the reveals start going crazy and you end up finding yourself immersed in this gigantic war
this cg is also kawaii even though i don't understand what is going on #mamiyaplaynow
finished christmas tina
i won’t say much about the game because it’s better to leave it as a surprise
but all i can say is “this title never ceased to surprise me”
it’s easily the sleeper hit of last year
