“Deflection,” 6”x12” ink and oil on panel. Now available on @everydayorig. Earlier this year, I started making abstract monoprints on an etching press. This piece is the first oil painting that I’ve completed on top of one of those exploratory prints.

"Midnight Conduit," oil, 5"x5" painted a few months ago. It was inspired by "We Grow Accustomed to the Dark" by Emily Dickinson poem, which is a beautiful expression of human resilience and adaptability.

"Deeper by Far" is a new 5”x5” painting inspired by this quote from Desert Solitaire by Edward Abbey: “…out there is a different world, older and greater and deeper by far than ours, a world which sustains the little world of man as sea and sky surround and sustain a ship.”

Extremely grateful that 3 paintings were accepted into @SILosAngeles Illustration West 58, with "Seek" selected for a Gold Award in the Unpublished/Self-Promo category and "Undergrowth" earning a Bronze Award in the Gallery category. Thanks so much to SI-LA and the judges!

Opening tomorrow night! I'm excited (but tearful) to be a part of the final exhibit at @HelikonGallery: All Good Things. I can't make the opening, but hopefully I'll see some of you at the First Friday reception on 12/6 instead!

Here's a small 5"x7" painting called "I Depart As Air," which is a phrase taken from Walt Whitman's "Song Of Myself." Oil on cradled panel, 5" x 7", $250, available at Illuxcon this week.

It's scary and unsettling to be at the edge of one's comfort zone or feel like an outsider. But the edges, the fringes, the brink: that's also where the growth happens. And I'll take growth over comfort any day 🔥 "The Brink" will go up for sale tomorrow 10/16 on @everydayorig!
