Another side by side. How it started yesterday and how it ended. Mostly darkening the darks, lightening the lights, making that lightsaber GLOW!! Added some reflective light on her arm and montals. Now I am waiting on my ink to be delivered so I can collage. Like, four days. 🙄😒

Here is the stage when I started today side by side with how I finished tonight so you can more readily see the changes I made. Lawwwwwwts of stages. 🚂

I’m back! Took a day or two to work on stickers and prints till my ink ran out. Working more on light and shadow. Added some highlights to her lightsabers. Added her beads over her montals. Cleaned up some shadows. Going to add some collage, but have to get ink first. 🙄

Scanning in my TurtleTober paintings so I can make some prints for ECCC. So much to do to prep, but totes looking forward to it. I love ECCC!!

As you can imagine I have been a fan of Dave McKean and David Mack. The Daves. Bill Sienkiewicz also rocks. Tommy Lee Edwards.

Lightened up her montrals and markings. Added some rim lighting to her face and arm. Rim lighting is a thin line of highlight on a dark image as though the light is coming from behind. Hope there is some info in these tweets to help out aspiring artists. All in this together!

I was then trying to figure out what color to use in the background. I wasn't sure if I was going to go dark or light or what color to use that would go well with her orange skin and blue montrals or her reddish brown outfit. I tried different colors digitally.

I then took a picture of this sketch with my phone, emailed it to myself and brought it into Clip Studio Paint to mess around with. I wasn't happy with all the empty space up top so I blew up the sketch and positioned it better. I added in some flat colors.
