Back when I was doing video game stuff, I came up with a concept for a MMORPG called Universal Kingdom. These were some characters I designed for it. Unfortunately I destroyed my wrist in the process and quickly learned the importance of taking breaks.
Take a look at this spectacular art by David Finch on the original Aphrodite IX comic. Truly inspiring. The colors by Liquid are also a perfect compliment to Weems's inks. I've always found the graphic aesthetic of inked line, and cut & grad coloring to sit so well together.
