Ava met monster-hunting extraordinaire Prince Draven (@InkieDaze) at a ball and he gave her a special sending stone. He listened to her story, even though he said he didn't believe her. Then she accidentally flirted with him while attempting to help solve his cousin's murder
Her aviator goggles belonged to her grandfather and she promised him she would use them to fly one day.

Avandethiel (Ava) Lothiriel is an Avariel, a race of fallen warrior elves who lost their goddess's blessing of wings to a dragon's curse. She has journeyed far and long from her home in the mountains on a quest to lift it. Her owl, Arcus, has been with her for about 10 years.

Ava’s full name is Avandethiel Lothiriel (based on the list my DM and I referenced, roughly “bird maiden” and “flower”)
I don’t have anything to add, just felt like sharing. One of my favorite gags is “character with a short nickname actually has a complicated full name” lol
