@tailtwisted1 The designs used in a production should not clash with one another. A character will quickly feel out of place if a different design convention is used when compared to others. Lay out rules, and follow them with each design. 4/cont.
@tailtwisted1 Simplification is key with animation. Try to think; how can I animate my character with little effort whilst still keeping them recognisable? Single out the most important aspect of the design, and refine them. My fursona is a good example, I think. 3/cont.
@tailtwisted1 Here's a few charas of mine. Their designs are not bad for their intended purpose, AKA drawn just for fun. I somewhat imagine them looking like this when I'm writing my book. However, these designs are terrible when looking at them from the perspective of a 2D animator. 2/cont.
